Mental health support when cancer feels isolating
Feeling lonely, frightened or low can happen during cancer. Tell someone you trust and your cancer team so they can connect you with appropriate support. If you may harm yourself or cannot stay safe, call local emergency services now. In India, Tele-MANAS is 14416 or 1800-89-14416.
What remains uncertain
People respond differently to cancer and support. Persistent or worsening distress needs clinical assessment.
Questions for your care team
- Who provides counselling or psycho-oncology here?
- Are there moderated groups in my language?
- Can my caregiver receive support?
- Who can I contact after hours?
